About Membership
Membership dues are only $25 a year and run from January 1 to December 31. In addition to supporting the visual arts in our community, members have access to:
Retreats
Artist gatherings and demonstrations
Life drawing sessions with models
Community service projects and more.
We are no longer able to take payments online. We do accept cash and checks. To become a member, mail a check to: VFAA PO Box 873277, Wasilla, AK 99687

VFAA Plein Air Painting In the Summer
VFAA artists will get together on the 2nd Saturday each month, beginning May 10th, from 12-3 PM to Plein Air Paint. We will meet at the picnic tables across from the Palmer Visitor Center at noon and decide where we will go. It will be a great opportunity to paint the Alaskan landscape! Grab your art materials and come along.
VFAA Summer Picnic- Save the Date!
VFAA will host our annual picnic on Saturday, June 28th, from 11AM till 4PM at Maureen Campbell’s house. There will be garden tours, plein air painting, great food and good friends. Directions will follow in an email. Save the date!
Fall Retreat is Coming Up!
Our Fall retreat will be held at North Star Bible Camp (Willow, AK) August 15th-17th this year. Registration information is below.
Retreats
VFAA hosts two retreats every year - one in the spring and one in the fall.
Our Fall Retreat is coming up August 15th-17th. If you would like to arrive the day before, you may arrive at camp any time after 5PM on August 14th. We will have a Thursday night Potluck around 6ish. In the past we have held our retreat in early September. However our venue will not be available at that time so we have decided to hold our Fall Retreat in August instead.
